Turkish Minister of Transport Congratulates Azerbaijan on Zangilan Airport Anniversary


BAKU: Turkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, extended his congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of the second anniversary of the opening of Zangilan International Airport. The announcement was made through a social media post on Sunday.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Uraloglu reflected on the participation of the leaders of Turkiye and Azerbaijan during the inauguration of the airport, situated in Zangilan, a region that was previously under Armenian occupation. The minister expressed his belief that the airport’s establishment represents a significant milestone in the ongoing development of Azerbaijan, a nation he referred to as brotherly.

Minister Uraloglu highlighted the importance of collaboration in the field of civil aviation, stating that such partnerships would further solidify the ties between Turkiye and Azerbaijan. To commemorate the occasion, he shared images of Zangilan International Airport, along with a photograph of Presidents Il
ham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the airport’s opening.
