Turkish National Defense University Delegation Engages in Comprehensive Visit to Azerbaijan’s Combined Arms Army

Nakhchivan: As part of the visit to Azerbaijan, a delegation led by Vice Rector of the National Defense University of the Republic of Trkiye, Professor Talat Canbolat, visited the Combined Arms Army, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the guests first visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev erected in the main square of Nakhchivan city and paid tribute to his memory. Following this, they toured the Heydar Aliyev Museum, where they received extensive information about the political activities of the National Leader, including the Nakhchivan period of his life.

The delegation also paid their respects at the monument of Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, the founder of the Republic of Trkiye, which is also located in the city of Nakhchivan. As part of their itinerary, the guests visited the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Army, receiving detailed briefings on the history of the army's establishment, its development, current activities, and future objectives. Discussions were held regarding the current state of cooperation in military education, its prospects, and other issues of mutual interest.

The delegation further explored various classrooms, the simulation center, and the training hall at the Training and Education Center of the Combined Arms Army. During their visit to the Nakhchivan Military College and the Heydar Aliyev Military Lyceum, they were informed about the reforms implemented in these institutions, the current military education system, and the main directions of teaching and scientific activities. They also toured the headquarters, academic buildings, dormitory, and other administrative facilities.

As part of the trip, the delegation visited the Trkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship Park and explored historical and cultural monuments, strengthening ties between the two nations through shared heritage and mutual respect.
