Baku: The visit of the Turkish National Defense University delegation, led by Vice Rector Lieutenant General Burhan Aktas, to Azerbaijan is progressing, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA. During this visit, the delegation met with Rear Admiral Shahin Mammadov, the Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, where they received a comprehensive briefing on the history, activities, and combat readiness of the Naval Forces. Discussions also included the ongoing efforts to enhance professional personnel development, with the visiting delegation addressing various queries.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Lieutenant General Aktas signed the remembrance book, marking the significance of the visit. The Turkish delegation also toured a military unit of the Naval Forces, where they examined the weapons and technical equipment of the naval special forces.
The itinerary included a visit to the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev at the National Defense University. Here, the delegation was informed about the educational process and explored the campus and administrative facilities. They interacted with Turkish cadets studying at the institution, inquiring about their academic training, living conditions, and the overall level of professional preparedness.
Furthermore, the delegation visited the War Games Center of the Military Management Institute under the National Defense University. The visitors were briefed on the Center's activities and the existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in military education.
The meetings concluded with an exchange of gifts and a group photo, symbolizing the camaraderie and collaboration between the two nations.
