Turkish President: “Positive steps are taken in South Caucasus”

We discussed the situation in Afghanistan and the South Caucasus at a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists while returning from Rome, APA reports citing Hurriyet newspaper.

Erdogan said that he brought his visit to Azerbaijan on October 26 to the attention of the French President.

“Currently, positive steps are taken in the South Caucasus and our brother Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev determinedly wants to continue these positive steps,” stressed the Turkish President.

According to Erdogan, a peace platform can be established in the region, if Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Georgia, and Armenia agree.
