Türkiye wants to organize a meeting between Putin and Zelensky in April

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants to organize a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian Presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky in Istanbul in April, said Chagry Erhan, a member of the Council for Security and Foreign Policy under the Turkish President, APA reports citing Russia 24 News.

“Türkiye’s only mission right now is to create conditions for Presidents Putin and Zelensky to meet at least once and talk directly, without foreign interference. Let them find a solution that suits them,” Chagry Erkhan said. At the same time, the article specifies that the meeting is planned to be organized in April this year.

Also, Erdogan’s adviser stressed that throughout 2022, Türkiye was only an intermediary, nothing more.

“Türkiye did not impose anything on either Russia or Ukraine,” he said.
