Vienna: A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), led by Secretary General Ramil Hasan, participated in the 25th Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which kicked off on February 19 at the Congress Center Hofburg in Vienna, Austria.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the TURKPA delegation attended the session with special guest status and engaged in discussions with delegations from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Trkiye, Hungary, and Uzbekistan. The conversations focused on the ongoing process of obtaining observer status for TURKPA in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. It was disclosed that the TURKPA International Secretariat, under Kazakhstan's current Chairmanship, had successfully collected the required signatures and completed the necessary procedures.
Additionally, it was agreed to advance the issue for discussion in both the Bureau and the Standing Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The delegations committed to implementing a joint roadmap aimed at achieving tangible results towards securing observer status for TURKPA.
The Winter Meeting of the OSCE PA is set to conclude on February 20.
