TURKPA Secretary General Discusses Plenary Session Preparations with Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker

Bishkek:Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), Ambassador Ramil Hasan, held a meeting with Marlen Mamataliev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, during an official visit to the country. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the primary focus of the meeting was the upcoming 15th Plenary Session of TURKPA, scheduled for October 19-20 in Bishkek. Discussions centered on various aspects of the session's preparations, including protocols, organizational details, and the involvement of parliamentary speakers from member states and leaders of partner organizations. Ambassador Hasan provided an update on the work done over the past year and the ongoing arrangements for the session. Speaker Mamataliev expressed his appreciation for TURKPA's activities and confirmed his support for the International Secretariat's work. He stated that the Kyrgyz Republic, in collaboration with its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is making necessary preparations for the plenary s ession and the Assembly Council meeting. Mamataliev also emphasized the importance of strengthening legislative relations and the role of TURKPA's Permanent Commissions in promoting similar legislative adoption among member parliaments. The meeting was amicable, with both sides exchanging views on mutual interests. Ambassador Hasan was accompanied by Acting Deputy Secretary General Bektur Bazakechov, Head of the Protocol Service Yadigar Mammadov, and Legal Officer Azar Mammadov.
