Budapest: On August 19, Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), was awarded the Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary. The award was conferred by the decree of Hungarian President Tam¡s Sulyok, following a proposal by the country's Prime Minister, Victor Orban.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ceremony took place at the Vigado Palace in Budapest. The award presentation was conducted by Bal¡zs Hank³, Hungary's Minister of Culture and Innovation, during a reception in celebration of Saint Stephen's Day, which is Hungary's national holiday.
Sultan Raev received the prestigious order in acknowledgment of his significant role in fostering cultural cooperation and enhancing friendly relations among the Turkic states.
