Baku: A Mercedes car veered off the road and crashed into a concrete barrier in Azerbaijan's Ismayilli district at around 16:00 today, APA's Shirvan bureau reports. The tragic accident resulted in the deaths of 52-year-old Ilgar Suleymanov and 67-year-old Elmira Dukhiyeva, who were in the vehicle. One other person sustained injuries in the crash.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in response to APA's inquiry, the regional group of the Press Service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that a criminal case has been launched regarding the incident, and an investigation is currently underway. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances that led to the vehicle veering off the road.
