Today, after the functioning of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones (ADEZ) under the Ministry of Economy for two years, this department’s Internet page has been launched to regulate activities of industrial parks and neighborhoods, as well as agricultural parks.

The website, which is currently in Azeri only, cites names of residents of 6 industrial parks. Among them there are new companies that have not been reported before. These include names of the two out of the 32 residents of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP): CJSC “IMA-Energy” and CJSC “Azairtechservice AREZ”, as well as SCIP https://scip.az/az/page/rezidentler. These companies do not report on the land plots provided to them for the construction of industrial facilities; on the volume of investments, etc.

It is also reported that CJSC “IMA-Energy” has already started to produce electrical appliances.

Recall that CJSC “IMA-Energy”operates in the field of design and construction of electric power facilities while “Azairtechservice” CJSC is engaged in the defense industry.

Note that ADEZ was established on the basis of “Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park” LLC by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated January 22, 2021 “On Measures to Improve the Management of Industrial parks, Industrial Quarters and Agricultural Parks”. The Agency’s charter was approved on December 21, 2021. The department operates 6 industrial parks, 4 industrial quarters, 51 agroparks and a vocational training center.
