Participants of yesterday’s protest in front of the building of the Baku Court of Appeal (BCA) Samir Sultanov, Afiyaddin Mammadov were arrested on February 21 by the Yasamal court for 30 days in an administrative order. This was reported to Turan by their lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova.

According to her, both were found guilty under the Articles 535.1 (resistance to lawful demands of the police) and 510 (petty hooliganism) of the Code of Administrative Offenses. At the trial, they denied the charges, saying that they protested peacefully and did not show resistance.

Five young people, members of the “D-18 Movement”, held a protest in front of the Court of Appeal, demanding the release of Bakhtiyar Hajiyev. All were detained, some were released on the same day.
