Washington: U.S. President Joseph Biden has expressed satisfaction with the progress made by Azerbaijan and Armenia towards finalizing a peace agreement aimed at normalizing relations between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in a letter addressed to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, President Biden conveyed his pleasure at the steady progress observed in the peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He highlighted the United States’ commitment to supporting a “durable and dignified peace” that would conclude centuries of conflict.

President Biden emphasized that a successful peace agreement would not only secure Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity but also transform the region by enhancing trade, investment, and connectivity between Europe and Central Asia. He reassured continued U.S. support in achieving these goals.
