U.S. President Invites Azerbaijan to Join the Board of Peace as a Founding Member State

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has extended an invitation to Azerbaijan to become a founding member state of the Board of Peace. This initiative is part of a broader effort to consolidate peace in the Middle East and address global conflicts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Trump, in a letter to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, emphasized the significance of this invitation. He referenced the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which he announced on September 29, 2025, highlighting its acceptance by world leaders, including those from the Arab World, Israel, and Europe. The United Nations Security Council had endorsed this vision through Resolution 2803 on November 17.

The Board of Peace, described as a new International Organization and Transitional Governing Administration, aims to gather nations committed to establishing lasting peace. As Chairman of the Board, President Trump formally invited Azerbaijan to join as a founding member, encouraging the nation to sign and ratify the Board's Charter.

The letter underscores the opportunity for Azerbaijan to participate in this unprecedented initiative, with each member state able to appoint a representative to engage in discussions. President Trump expressed his anticipation of collaborating with President Aliyev to achieve enduring global peace and prosperity.
