Washington: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has emphasized that the recent peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia serves as an example of President Trump’s commitment to being a leader focused on peace.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rubio remarked on President Trump’s prioritization of peace and his proactive approach to conflict resolution. “President Trump has stated that he prioritizes peace and seeks to achieve agreements,” Rubio mentioned, highlighting the administration’s dedication to diplomatic initiatives.

Rubio further cited several instances where the Trump administration has played a crucial role in fostering peace. “He declared his desire to be a president of peace. Therefore, whenever we see a conflict where we can make a difference, we get involved and have been quite successful in this regard,” Rubio elaborated. The peace efforts between India and Pakistan, Thailand and Cambodia, and most recently, the agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia were noted as examples of these successful diplomatic interventions.
