Shusha: An official welcome ceremony was organized in Shusha for President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The event, held on September 16, was marked by the presence of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, as both leaders were greeted with a display of national pride and respect.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony featured a guard of honor set up in a square adorned with the national flags of the United Arab Emirates and Azerbaijan. Both leaders conducted an inspection of the guard of honor as the chief of the guard reported to the UAE President. This was followed by the playing of the national anthems of both nations, highlighting the diplomatic significance of the visit.

The guard of honor proceeded to march past President Ilham Aliyev and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the sound of a military march. As part of the formalities, members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to the UAE President, and members of the UAE delegation were introduced to the Azerbaijani President. The ceremony concluded with the two heads of state posing for official photographs, symbolizing the strengthening ties between the two countries.
