UEFA fined Legia after home match against Spartak in Europa League

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has fined Polish Leniya 17.5 thousand euros following the Europa League match against Spartak Moscow, according to the official website of the organization, APA-Sport reports citing Lostsports.

The meeting of the final round of the group stage took place on December 9 in Warsaw and ended with the score 1:0 in favor of the Moscow club. During the match, Legia fans chanted insulting slogans on Russophobic soil – UEFA decided to fine the team.

According to the results of the group stage, Spartak took first place in Group C and directly reached the 1/8 finals of the tournament. The draw for this stage will take place on February 25, the matches will take place on March 10 and 17.
