Ukrainian ambassador Vladislav Kanevsky visited the grave of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the ambassador wrote on Facebook, APA reports.

“19 years ago, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, an outstanding statesman who contributed to the revival and strengthening of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the strengthening and expansion of friendly relations with Ukraine, passed away! The progressive ideas and reforms founded by Heydar Aliyev have enabled Azerbaijan to enter the 21st century as a strong and independent state capable of overcoming difficult trials and challenges, and to step forward with confidence!” noted the ambassador.
