A parliamentary delegation led by Head of Ukraine-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Kreidenko has today visited Azerbaijan’s Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs.

The visitors first paid respect and put flowers at the tomb of the national leader, founder and architect of modern, independent Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

The Ukrainian parliamentarians then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes, who gave their lives for their country’s independence and sovereignty and put flowers at their graves. They also viewed the Eternal Flame monument.

The visitors then enjoyed a panoramic view of Baku, as they were informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs, as well as landscaping work carried out in the city.
