Baku:An international summit titled "UN Governance Innovation Summit Advancing Future-Ready Institutions" has commenced at the Gulustan Palace in Baku. The summit aims to address various themes related to governance and innovation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event is co-organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.

Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, delivered an address from President Ilham Aliyev to the summit participants. The summit's agenda includes discussions on public administration innovations, public sector transformation, and Azerbaijan's reforms involving multi-faceted approaches for innovative public service provision. Additionally, the event will explore South-South, North-South, and trilateral cooperation.

The summit gathers ministers and high-level officials from over 100 countries, along with senior officials from international and regional organizations, development partners, and representatives from the private sector and academia.
