Baku: 'Millions of young people and children suffer from a lack of adequate housing, live in informal settlements, and are exposed to the impacts of climate change," United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs Felipe Paullier said in a video address during the roundtable on 'Children and Youth' held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Paullier emphasized that climate change is no longer just a potential threat, as its effects are already being witnessed in reality and are impacting communities. He highlighted that young people worldwide are observing these consequences, uniting to protect their communities, and proposing creative and innovative solutions. However, he pointed out that real power comes from decisions, strong institutions, and proper governance.

In his concluding remarks, Paullier stressed the importance of building cities that are not only livable but also inclusive for young people and the broader community.
