Baku: 'Concrete decisions will be made on the WUF13 platform to make our cities more accessible and suitable,' UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Igor Garafulich said during the event titled 'Cities for All - Leave No One Behind,' APA reports. 'As the UN, we will also provide great support to this process and will continuously support the principle of equal opportunities for everyone,' he emphasized.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Garafulich highlighted that cities are evolving beyond being mere economic hubs, becoming integral components of social life. In this context, addressing barriers is crucial. Ensuring equal opportunities, particularly for people with disabilities, holds significant importance. As stated in the UN conventions, all citizens should actively participate in social, economic, and cultural life.

The upcoming WUF13, to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, will serve as a timely global platform.
