Baku: Unibank CB OJSC Azerbaijan has entered into two significant loan agreements with the international financial fund Enabling Qapital, amounting to a total of $10 million. This includes a subordinated loan, which is expected to bolster the bank's capital base.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this marks the inaugural collaboration between Unibank CB OJSC Azerbaijan and Enabling Qapital. The partnership is geared towards enhancing the support and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region. Heybat Gadirov, Acting Chairman of the Management Board at Unibank CB OJSC Azerbaijan, expressed his satisfaction with the new cooperation, stating that the loan facility will empower clients to implement projects and strengthen their market positions.
Representing Enabling Qapital, Christoph Dreher, Board Member and Executive Management Partner, highlighted the potential in microfinance and SME lending within the region. He affirmed the commitment to support Unibank CB OJSC Azerbaijan in achieving these objectives, anticipating that the collaboration will foster economic growth and stimulate entrepreneurial activity.
