UNITAR Strengthens Collaboration with ‘ASAN Khidmet’

Baku: The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has taken significant steps to enhance its partnership with 'ASAN Khidmet', following a successful event titled "Water-Smart Cities: Building Urban Resilience Through Capacity Building". This event, part of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), focused on innovative urban solutions and resilience.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mahammadali Khudaverdiyev, who leads the International Relations Department of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, provided insights into the pioneering activities of the 'ASAN Khidmet' Centers. These centers, founded under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, are renowned for implementing cutting-edge solutions in public service. Notably, ASAN has become an intellectual brand that has been exported to over 30 countries.

During the event, the UNITAR delegation was apprised of the work being done by the "ASAN Khidmet" center. Discussions revolved around the progress achieved and the future projects planned under the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed between the two parties earlier in 2023.
