Uruguay city: Uruguay applies tax incentives for the private sector for social housing, Uruguay's Minister of Housing and Territorial Planning, Tamara Paseyro Marin, said during the session titled 'A New Deal for Housing Finance' held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister emphasized that Uruguay's social housing policy includes tax incentives for the private sector, subsidies for families, and price controls on constructed apartments. The government aims to guide the private sector's involvement in social housing without obstructing its market participation.

Tamara Paseyro Marin highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among state institutions for successful housing projects, stating that all entities should be engaged from the project's inception. She also mentioned that policies targeting informal settlements focus on more than just housing, encompassing infrastructure, services, social integration, and transportation options.
