Meanwhile, the broader MSCI AC Asia Pacific index saw a minor decline of 0.06% to 255.71 points.

Analysts attribute the rise in US and European stock markets to the clear results of the US midterm elections, reduced political uncertainty, and a sharp decline in oil prices. The Democrats' victory in securing majorities in both chambers of Congress has raised expectations of stronger legislative oversight of President Donald Trump's economic policies. Additionally, falling oil prices have increased expectations that inflationary pressures will ease. In Europe, positive corporate financial results have also supported the rise in stock indices.
