US Condemns Iran’s Drone Attacks on Nakhchivan, Backs Azerbaijan

Baku: The United States has issued a strong condemnation of the recent drone attacks carried out by Iran on Nakhchivan, expressing unwavering solidarity with Azerbaijan. According to a statement from the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, the incident, which occurred on March 5, has prompted the US to closely monitor the situation and extend wishes for a swift recovery to those injured.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the attacks targeted the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, originating from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. One of the drones struck the terminal building of Nakhchivan Airport, resulting in damage and injuring four individuals. Another drone landed near a school building in the village of Shakarabad, further escalating tensions in the region.
