Baku: The United States has invested nearly $20 billion in Azerbaijan over the past 30 years, as revealed by Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Economy. This announcement was made during a special meeting at the Cabinet of Ministers, which was dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Washington.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, from 1995 until March 2025, the total investments from the USA to Azerbaijan amounted to 18.9 billion US dollars. Of this, 17.4 billion dollars were directed towards the oil and gas sector, while 1.5 billion dollars were invested in the non-oil and gas sector, as detailed by Minister Jabbarov.
