Uzbek Military Delegation Explores Azerbaijan’s Cyber and Air Defense Capabilities

Baku: The official visit of the military delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan is currently in progress, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA. The Uzbek delegation, led by the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, has embarked on a series of visits to key defense facilities in Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation’s itinerary included a visit to the Cybersecurity Center, where they received comprehensive briefings on the measures being taken to safeguard the cybersecurity of Azerbaijan’s modern weapon systems and information technology resources. The discussions also covered AI-based cyber defense tools that are being utilized to combat cyber threats.

Following the Cybersecurity Center visit, the delegation proceeded to the Combat Control Center of the Air Force. Here, they were given an overview of the center’s structure, operational principles, and functions. The center is noted for its modern management systems, and the Uzbek representatives were provided with detailed answers to their inquiries about its operations.
