Baku: Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their national holiday, Independence Day. In his message to Azerbaijani President Ilham Heydar oglu, Mirziyoyev highlighted Azerbaijan's successful transformations and reforms under Heydar oglu's leadership.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mirziyoyev praised the recent organization of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum in Baku, describing it as a testament to Azerbaijan's growing international stature. He expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan across various areas, including political, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian sectors.

Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the agreements reached between the two countries would continue to strengthen their ties. He wished President Heydar oglu a long life, good health, and success in his state activities, while also conveying his hopes for the continued prosperity and progress of the Azerbaijani people.
