UZBEKISTAN—Uzbekistan and Trkiye have entered discussions to expand their multifaceted cooperation, focusing on strategic partnership enhancements and regional collaboration. This dialogue follows the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit to Trkiye earlier in June, aiming to implement previously agreed-upon initiatives.
According to Trend News Agency, the recent meetings between President Mirziyoyev and a high-level Turkish delegation, including Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, and National Intelligence Service Director Ibrahim Kalin, have paved the way for a deeper bilateral relationship. The discussions encompassed various aspects of the Uzbek-Turkish relations, emphasizing the necessity of continuous and systematic contacts. The talks also included the expansion of dialogue formats and agendas to foster political dialogue, trade, economic ties, and investment projects.
Further, the meetings highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination and collaborative efforts to address modern security challenges and threats. The officials also deliberated on enhancing regional interactions and cooperation within international organizations, underscoring the commitment to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
