Tashkent: Uzbekistan is on track to welcome Starlink satellite internet in 2026. SpaceX, the company founded by Elon Musk, initially announced plans in 2022 to introduce large-scale projects in Uzbekistan. However, the launch timeline has faced multiple postponements, with the original start date set for 2023 and later pushed to 2025.

According to Trend News Agency, Starlink began its operations in Kazakhstan on August 13, 2025, and is projected to expand to Kyrgyzstan by the end of the current year. By 2026, Uzbekistan, along with Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, is expected to gain access to Starlink’s satellite internet, broadening the network’s reach in Central Asia.

Starlink, developed by SpaceX, offers a global satellite internet network designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity. It serves areas with limited or no traditional internet infrastructure, providing a reliable alternative for remote and underserved regions. The service has already been adopted in multiple countries, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing internet access.
