Urgench: RANCH University of Technology is expressing a keen interest in establishing cooperation and student exchange programs with Azerbaijani higher education institutions, as revealed by Maruba Matkuliyeva, the head of the department at the university. This announcement was made during a visit by Azerbaijani journalists to the university located in the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Matkuliyeva highlighted that RANCH University has already signed a memorandum of understanding with several esteemed European universities, alongside partnerships with the Economic and Western Caspian Universities of Azerbaijan. She mentioned that a delegation from RANCH University attended a significant conference at the University of Economics in May, and there are plans to further these cooperative efforts.
During the visit, Azerbaijani media representatives toured the new campus of RANCH University of Technology, gaining insights into the institution’s educational facilities, dormitories, and infrastructure. The university currently educates 12,000 students and has expanded its academic offerings to include 32 faculties and departments, focusing on advancing education and technological training in the region.
Additionally, the journalists’ visit to Uzbekistan encompassed an exploration of local tourism, educational, and production facilities, providing them with a broader understanding of the economic, social, and tourism landscape of the Khiva region. This visit was part of the ‘Roadmap for the Development of Cooperation in the Media Field between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan’, aiming to foster mutual experience exchange and study advanced media practices between the two nations.
