Today, on September 18, for the first time 30 years later, the birthday of the outstanding Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov will be celebrated in his hometown-Shusha, liberated from occupation. The Uzeyir Hajibeyov International Music Festival is held again in Shusha. Concerts will be held outdoors.

Added to this can be that the 13th festival will also be held in Baku, Ganja and Agdam.

While at Shusha, the participants will visit the memorial houses of Hajibeyov and Bulbul, the spring “Khan gyzy”, the fortress walls, the picturesque plateau “Jydyr dyuzu”.

Note that September 18 is celebrated in Azerbaijan as the Day of National Music.

It should be reminded that Uzeyir Hajibeyov was born in 1885. He is the author of the first opera in the Muslim East, “Leyli and Majnun”. In total, he is the author of more than 300 works of classical and national music, as well as the anthem of Azerbaijan. -05D-.
