Jabrayil: Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, emphasized the interconnection between social factors and socio-economic issues as pivotal drivers of economic activity. Speaking at the event titled 'Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities,' Hajiyev discussed the challenges Azerbaijan faced after 30 years of territorial destruction and the country's efforts to rebuild from scratch.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Hajiyev stressed that following the war, providing housing became the first visible sign of the community's return to normalcy. He highlighted the construction of villages, cities, and the development of 'smart cities' and 'smart villages' as part of Azerbaijan's reconstruction efforts. The event featured a flagship dialogue session titled 'The Social and Economic Power of Housing: How Can Housing Drive Prosperity While Delivering Equity for All?' within the framework of WUF13, underscoring the importance of housing in driving prosperity and equity.
