The most valuable thing that we can share for achieving sustainable peace and reconciliation in the South Caucasus region is our experience, Valdis Zatlers former President of Latvia told APA.

“It is an experience both at the level of the EU and at the regional level, relations between Germany and France, development experience of the Baltic region. We have learned many things. You know, we experienced World War II, the relations among countries were tense, wars occurred, however, EU was established, various peoples started to closely cooperate. Of course, all people are different, but we learned to cooperate, because the result of this cooperation, I can say fruits-reach to everyone,” he noted.

The Former President stressed that wars are not the best way to resolve the conflict: “However, in Karabakh issue, it worked, because it was realized in the right time and with a resolute decision. We can say, Azerbaijan implemented the UN Security Council resolutions itself.”
