Baku: The Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF) organized a classic car exhibition and parade on Sunday, attracting a range of prominent figures and residents. Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva were among the attendees, alongside AAF President Anar Alakbarov and Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event kicked off with a classic car display at the Seaside National Park. Over 100 vehicles, all manufactured before 1986, were showcased. The collection featured both registered participant cars and select pieces from the permanent exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center, drawing the attention of Baku residents as a longtime favorite event.

The exhibition also included a classic car parade, which routed through the capital's main streets and avenues before concluding in the Sea Breeze area. The Marina Bay exhibition added a distinct retro charm to the Caspian shore, showcasing cars from various eras, including vehicles with special commemorative value for their owners.

In an interview with AZERTAC, classic car driver Nuhbala Dadashov shared the personal significance of his 1967 Volga GAZ-21, a vehicle his father brought home from Saratov on March 19 of that year. Visitors to the exhibition were captivated by the retro cars, and one visitor, Fidan Efendi, expressed her passion for classic cars, noting the significant interest these events generate.

"Living Legend" award winner Royana Seyfali participated for the first time with her 1986 Mercedes-Benz W126 S-Class. In her interview with AZERTAC, she revealed that she kept the car as a keepsake and was excited to finally join the exhibition.

The rally concluded with awards for car owners across multiple categories, such as 'Veteran of the Exhibition,' 'Gold Standard,' 'Living Legend,' 'Rare Pearls,' and 'Style Icon of the Era,' among others. The event also featured a musical program for attendees.
