Baku:The staff of AZERTAC visited Victory Park to commemorate Remembrance Day, paying tribute to the martyrs by laying flowers before the Victory Monument. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Victory Park was constructed on 8 November Avenue in Baku, following a decree by President Ilham Aliyev on December 3, 2020. The park covers nearly 10 hectares and features a Victory Arch measuring 44 meters in height and 22 meters in width with 44 columns, symbolizing the 44-day Patriotic War. The park includes a memorial monument dedicated to November 8, Victory Day, representing unity and victory. A Victory Museum was established to honor the soldiers and officers who fought in the Patriotic War and to celebrate Azerbaijan's historical victory in liberating its lands. In addition to these monuments, Victory Park offers a thematic garden, a cascade-type waterfall, and a Garabagh memory garden, with resting areas surrounding the garden. The park also includes Freedom Flag Square. As the nation marks six years since the Patriotic War, Victory Park on Baku's 8 November Avenue serves as a testament to the respect and remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
