Ankara: Last year, 206,434 thousand barrels of oil were transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline via Turkish territory, marking a 7.9% decrease compared to the previous year, as reported by Trkiye's pipeline operator, BOTAS.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, in 2024, 224,142 thousand barrels of oil passed through the BTC pipeline in Turkey, reflecting a 2.04% reduction from the previous year. It should be noted that the same volume of 224,142 thousand barrels was transported through the BTC pipeline last year, which is 2% less than the volume transported in 2022.
The BTC pipeline facilitates the transport of oil produced from Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) fields. Additionally, oil from other producers is also transported through this pipeline to Turkish territory.
