Over 9 months of this year, the volume of industrial production in the special industrial zones of Azerbaijan amounted to 2.1 billion manats ($1.23 billion) which is up by 41.5% from the comparable period of 2021 year, according to the Ministry of Economy.

According to the Ministry, residents of industrial zones exported goods worth AZN 846.1 million ($497.7 million) to over 50 countries. This is up by 55.3% from January-September last year. A share of special industrial zones in non-oil and gas industrial production amounted to 16.6%, export – 33.3%.

Recall that special industrial zones (industrial parks and quarters) are located mainly in Baku, Sumgayit city, Mingachevir, Neftchala, Hajigabul and Masally regions. Their residents have certain urgent tax benefits, as well as preferences in the import of technological and other goods
