Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he discussed issues of electricity and gas supplies at talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku on Wednesday. “We have already discussed ways to build and develop our transmission systems to receive electricity that will be transported by submarine to Romania and Hungary and see if we ourselves can become energy beneficiaries. We discussed ways to receive Azerbaijani gas through the interconnector, which we are preparing to build together with Bulgaria and North Macedonia,” Vučić said on Wednesday in Baku. According to him, all this is “very important” for Serbia.
“I have a lot of expectations from the meeting with Aliyev in Baku,” Vučić added, expressing hope that Aliyev would soon visit Serbia again
