Weapons and Equipment for Prosecutor General’s Office Get Customs Duties Exemption

Baku: Weapons and equipment imported for the Prosecutor General’s Office will now be exempt from customs duties. This development was revealed during the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, where an amendment to the Law ‘On the Customs Tariff’ was discussed.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the amendment aims to increase the number of goods exempt from customs duties. The draft proposes that imports of all types of equipment and technical means used for defense and state security purposes, along with their spare parts, special software, weapons, and ammunition, will be exempt from customs duties. This exemption will be granted based on a confirmation document issued by the relevant executive authority and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
