West Accused of Interference in Upcoming Georgian Election, Claims Local MP

TBILISI: In a recent statement, Zurab Musayev, a member of the Georgian Dream party, accused Western countries of intending to interfere in Georgia’s upcoming parliamentary election. Musayev alleged that European nations are aiming to create unrest and provoke issues between Georgia and Russia, though he expressed confidence that these efforts would not be successful.

According to Trend News Agency, Musayev emphasized that Georgia has consistently urged Western countries to accept it as it is and to refrain from imposing directives. He acknowledged the possibility of provocations occurring during the election process but dismissed concerns that such actions would lead to significant consequences.

Musayev, representing the ruling Georgian Dream party, expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the election, which is scheduled for October 26. He asserted that the party plans to ensure its message is clearly communicated to the electorate, anticipating a substantial victory.
