Baku: The Western Azerbaijan Community has issued a statement urging Armenia to halt its attempts to meddle in Azerbaijan's internal affairs, particularly in light of ongoing reactions to the recent visit of foreign diplomats to Azerbaijan's liberated territories. These reactions, the community argues, are detrimental to the peace and normalization process between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Western Azerbaijan Community highlighted the persistence of Armenia's "miatsum" policy, which undermines Azerbaijan's sovereignty and hinders peaceful neighborly relations. The community criticized recent developments in Armenian society that are based on a fabricated history and false claims of national exceptionalism, which deny the rich cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people.

The statement referenced President Ilham Aliyev's remarks during a meeting with religious figures from various countries, where he emphasized the contributions of Azerbaijani figures like Nizami Ganjavi and Khagani Shirvani to world culture. The community argued that Armenia's adherence to a divisive ideology has led to past conflicts, including the deportation of Western Azerbaijanis and the destruction of cultural sites.

The Western Azerbaijan Community urged Armenia to avoid repeating historical mistakes, recognize Azerbaijan's sovereignty, and cease actions that provoke tensions.
