Wheat imports rose by 17.8%

1 million 168.000 tons of wheat were delivered to Azerbaijan in January-November this year, which is up by 17.8% from the comparable period of 2021, the State Customs Committee reports.

 

In November, 211,683 tons of wheat were purchased abroad at an average price of $321.23/ton. In general, for 11 months of this year, the average purchase price of 1 ton of imported wheat was $ 340.77/ton, which is expensive up by 20.6% from the comparable period of the last year.

 

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, 194.400 tons of wheat were purchased in Kazakhstan for 10 months of this year (+9.2 times), in Russia – 761.500 tons (-12.4%).

 

This year, 1,736.100 tons of wheat were produced in Azerbaijan, down by 8% from the last year
