Shahdag: The winners of the second day of the 'Azerbaijan Open' international alpine skiing tournament, co-organized by the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation and Shahdag Mountain Resort under the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) calendar, have been announced. On Day 2 of the competition, athletes competed in the Slalom discipline.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Swiss skier Nikita Anner secured first place, with Kazakh competitor Dalel Tolkunova finishing second, and Georgian athlete Nino Tsiklauri taking third. The two-day tournament features a lineup of 20 female athletes from countries including Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Georgia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Trkiye, Nepal, and Uzbekistan. Azerbaijan is proudly represented by alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma.
The tournament is set to continue until January 10, with participants competing for championship titles in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom disciplines.
