Baku: The cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank continues successfully as a reliable partner, Stefanie Stallmeister, the World Bank Group’s country manager, at the signing ceremony of the credit agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank for the ‘Project on Expanding the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Azerbaijan,’ APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Stefanie Stallmeister noted that once the ‘Project on Expanding the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Azerbaijan’ is implemented, Azerbaijan will be able to integrate 1.8 gigawatts of electricity into the grid. This project aims to bolster Azerbaijan’s energy capacity by significantly increasing the use of renewable sources.
Stallmeister expressed confidence that by supporting projects aligned with Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development priorities, Azerbaijan will make significant contributions to sustainable and inclusive development. The initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of both parties to enhance energy sustainability and address global energy challenges.
