World Bank Updates Economic Growth Forecasts for Azerbaijan and South Caucasus

Baku: The World Bank has improved its economic growth forecasts for Azerbaijan for 2026 and 2027, APA-Economics reports, citing the Bank's report on the global economy.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the World Bank's updated forecast indicates that Azerbaijan's real GDP will grow by 2% in 2026 and by 1.8% in both 2027 and 2028. This reflects an increase in the Bank's projection for 2026 by 0.2 percentage points and for 2027 by 0.1 percentage points compared to its January forecast.

As for the South Caucasus countries as a whole, the World Bank forecasts economic growth of 3.4% in 2026 and 2027, and 3.2% in 2028. The Bank improved its projection for 2026 by 0.1 percentage points and for 2027 by 0.3 percentage points compared to its previous forecast.
