Baku: On the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day on May 28, world leaders have been sending congratulatory messages to President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, is among the leaders who have congratulated President Aliyev.

Additionally, Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, has extended his congratulations. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, and Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, have also conveyed their best wishes to the Azerbaijani leader.

Further messages have been received from Mikheil Kavelashvili, President of Georgia, Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, all congratulating President Aliyev on this significant occasion.
