Baku: The Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction will host an international workshop titled "Developments in Seismic Isolation and Energy Dissipation Applications." The event is set to feature discussions on the latest scientific developments, international experience, and modern engineering approaches in the fields of seismic isolation and energy dissipation technologies.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the workshop will bring together world-known scientists, researchers, and specialists in earthquake engineering from Azerbaijan, as well as from Trkiye, Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom. This gathering aims to foster collaboration and share advances in earthquake engineering that can lead to more resilient infrastructure.

In conjunction with the workshop, a new laboratory established with support from bp will be inaugurated at the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. This facility is expected to further enhance research capabilities and provide hands-on experience in the field of seismic isolation and energy dissipation.
