World Stock Markets Show Mixed Performance with European Indices Gaining

New York: On April 30, the world stock markets displayed mixed performances, with notable movements in the U.S. and European indices. In the U.S., the Dow Jones index experienced a rise of 0.35%, reaching 40,669.36 points, while the S and P 500 index saw a modest increase of 0.15% to 5,569.06 points. However, the Nasdaq index slightly decreased by 0.09%, settling at 17,446.34 points.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, European stock markets showed gains across major indices. The FTSE 100 index inched up by 0.37% to 8,494.85 points. Germany’s DAX index climbed by 0.32%, reaching 22,496.98 points, and France’s CAC-40 index recorded a rise of 0.50%, closing at 7,593.87 points.

In the currency markets, the euro-to-dollar exchange rate saw a decline of 0.32%, with the euro valued at USD 1.1292. This movement in the exchange rate reflects ongoing fluctuations in the global currency markets.
